First Student Film.

In the middle of April, I was cast in my first student film, and I could've been more excited. It was my first chance to go out and show off what I can do and make some connections along the way. I had also never worked on a set with a full crew before so that was an experience within itself. The first day was so fun because I met everyone and we all hit it off right away. We shot one of the last scenes first which was so weird, I knew that was a thing in film and TV, but to experience going out of order was a challenging but effective task. As we continued throughout the week we got closer and closer with each other and I feel that I made great friendships. Getting the practice behind the camera was so crucial for me because this is something that I want to continue with my career and this made me feel more confident in my acting.

At first, I was pretty terrified that I wasn't going to be what they were looking for, but I could not have asked for a more supportive crew. Everyone involved was so kind and what was so great was that even though we knew each other for a very short time, we pushed each other to the max to get the best product we could. It felt like a workout at the gym, the way we motivate each other to be better, but there was never any kind of competitive nature. There were long days filled with sitting around doing nothing, running lines, playing card games, that honestly tested me, but the work was so worth it. I am so looking forward to seeing the final product, which will be premiered in a local movie theater for everyone involved, family and friends! I had such a blast on this journey and am ecstatic for what the future holds in this field because it truly was the time of my life, and am so grateful for the people that I met during this, and remain hopeful that we will stay in touch.
